Firstly, I should apologise for the lack of updates recently and the reason for this is quite simple.
I simply have been waiting... as I don't rush on things which are all - "possibilities" -
~ Meaning in the past few months, the rumours have been circulating rather rapidly concerning the - "changes" - that will be made to the tanks and skins that everyone was making a panicked uproar over.
I shall now update on what I have been doing since these rumours have been going on.
SKINS AND REWORKS ~
I shall be reskinning ALL the schools properly once 0.9.0 numericals in the updates start.
I am waiting on the start of HD versions of the vehicles, as I would like to see how the skins will be effected once they have been started.
Meaning...
¬ will the current skins (already made) simply be - "attached" - (for the lack of a better word) be - "good enough" - already for the present tanks? - that it doesn't need any further changes - or will it need - further changes made to it because of the added details?
¬ We don't know, so this is another reason for the wait...to - "actually see" - what will be changing versus running on the speculation and riding the - "ass-umption train".
COLOURS ~
I have already went through the process of obtaining all the proper colours to be used for each tank for each school.
Meaning, I got the numericals for colours RGB in the hex table, so that each will be more accurate in terms of colour. ¬ this does INCLUDE Anzio, as the new tanks have been now officially released.
DETAILS TO TANKS ~
I have been questioned concerning the details I place on the tanks and whatnot. (some don't like them) while other have been supportive.
The choice ultimately comes down to you - the user -
"If you like the added details, download it and use it... if you don't like it, don't download it and don't use it"
.. its that simple.
The skins are made to be different so that - "I don't follow" - what the rest are doing in terms of skinning. - Its also done to differentiate my skins from everyone else's.
I'm also going by what - "will look good visually" - while playing, while following a good balance, in terms of historical and anime.
SOUND MOD ~
The current sound mod will be changed, once the OVA has been released, and I have ripped some newer sounds from the OVA episode.
I haven't run across any new sounds, effects, nor anything that would allow me to mix or add anything newer to what has already been added. - but I am always looking.
I will be editing the - VICTORY - event somewhat and removing the males laughter from one set of the sounds, so that it doesn't repeat itself too often.
I haven't taken up the challenge in creating a GUNS and ENGINE sound pack, as that takes scripting knowledge, which I am lacking somewhat.
¬ Will it be a possibility in the future? - maybe - but no promises.
BLOGGER CHANGES ~
I have been rather lazy in terms of making the changes to this Blogger, particularly since I have been thinking on how to add the different sectors to the links above.
The European Sector will have a large amount of countries represented, so it will fill up quickly, so I am trying to find a way that it will be pleasing, while making it easy to follow and get around in.
Since I am - "old School" and lived during the - Cold War phase from the later 1950's - 1989, the USSR is no longer called that, I have been debating on what to actually call the - Russian Sector".
¬ Do, I call it the - "Russian Sector"? - or the proper geography of what its called now? - if any ideas, send me a proper message.
I just want to be sure that I properly name it, as to not offend anyone's pride in their country, as this varies from person to person.
Well, I hope that this answers some of the reasons why this blogger has not been updated since the holidays.
¬ but I can assure you that more changes are ion the way, as well as a - "MAJOR SURPRISE" - will be in store for those who have been supportive. ¬ I shan't say too much concerning this, other than you shan't be disappointed.
